a Partners in Conservation award from Interior Secretary Ken Salazar for "outstanding contributions to salmon recovery in Washington state" for their work with the Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board Implementation Team.  The group completed nearly 50 habitat restoration projects in the Upper Columbia River that restored flows, restored degraded habitat and opened miles of spawning and rearing stream areas for threatened salmon and steelhead populations.  Notice the long list of partners that worked with TU. This is a great example of the kind of broad coalitions that TU's Western Water Project is engaging to solve the complicated puzzle of restoring river systems.
